How to score?
There had been a few questions about the point-based system in this project. That's why you find all details here again:
Every Monday we will announce the ranking of all One Living Room Insiders.
You get 1 point for each comment on the One Living Room Blog.
One comment can be either text, a photo OR video OR a combination of text+Photo OR text+video.
-
TEXT: A text post should contain a minimum count of 100 words.
Exception is a link to your own blog-article or another posting on a community about the project or product. A comment with a link gives you also 1 point.
-
PHOTO: Each uploaded picture gives you 1 point. If you add a text there is no extra point for that. Therefore you have to open up a new comment.
-
VIDEO: Each uploaded Video gives you 1 point. If you add a text there is no extra point for that. Therefore you have to open up a new comment.
"All valid posts have to be in context with the different project tasks."
This is just an additional information. Please keep in mind that all comments should be in context with the project or product. Don't worry, we will not take it with a pinch of salt.
TWITTER: Unfortunately we don't give points for tweets, but there are many special contests where you can win other cool prizes, so don't miss to follow us on: twitter.com/OneLivingRoom
Keep in mind. The 10 Insiders who gained the most points at the end of the project are allowed to keep the ESPRIMO Q1510.
You must be logged in for commenting.

Alright! Just a suggestion: How about an article, where we can post links, photos or videos which are not linked to a special task? I already made some videos and I don't know where to post them...
A that was my first idea too. I have many ideas to collect points like publishing a quiz about the esprimo on my quizsite quizr.eu or quiztube.net (for the english people).
Have i understood, that i can only collect one point per blogpost comment?
I wish every One Livingroom Insider much fun during the next weeks and good luck !
I created a logo for my upcoming series called: "The Life of Little E"
F stands for Fujitsu
Thank you Verena for explanation because clear rules are good rules :)
I'm wondering if there is any hope to have counter of our points in our profiles which will appear after logon. I can imagine that it can be hard to implement this automatically for now but I believe that it shouldn't be a problem for you to make daily updates.
I would expect to have something like this:
update date: 27-05-2010 9 am
points: 5
Another idea is to mark valid comments (those who deserve for point) by icon or some mark that would inform users.
I see that we are not able to put 'valid' links. I assume that this is for safety reasons but it is annoying when I need to copy paste link to display page instead of clicking it, any ideas to improve this?
Ok, the system is really easy to understand. But i see some problems because it is easy too, to abuse this system. For example I have seen a comment where a picture was uploaded which was really senseless and had nothing to do with the product we all are talking about, the Fujitsu Esprimo Q1510. How do you handle that?
How do you handle uploads and comments on facebook?
STEFANOSSWALD: "All valid posts have to be in context with the different project tasks."
I think they count it manually, so I don't think that we have to be worried about that.
All right. But now I have a little problem :-/ I wrote Nils a mail via Facebook :-(
So, da ich leider noch auf die Ankunft des Esprimos warte, musste ich mir die Zeit eben mit bloggen vertreiben:
http://thomaseuler.posterous.com/unverhofft-kommt-oft-der-esprimo-q1510
Thomase: Das ist aber doof :-/ vielleicht war der Postman ja schon da und hat ein kleinen Zettel hinterlassen... Schon nachgeschaut? :-)
Und hier wird es stehen, das kleine Schmuckstück. Alt trifft neu, wenn man so will. Denn was ihr dort seht, sind alte Ausgaben von "The Times", die zum Teil soweit zurückdatieren wie 1880, in Ledereinbänden zusammengefasst.
Oh, just realized that I should probably stick to English here, so feel free to delete my former comment. (Btw, beeing able to edit one's comments would be nice :))
Anyway, this is where the ESPRIMO is going to spend the next couple of weeks. Old meets new, basically. What you can see on the picture a old issues of "The Times" - some of them as old as 1880 - put together in lether binding.
@Abas: Sorry, my fault. (it's too late)
Abas and Ntbuzzr are right. Give us a chance to publish our own posts, and we will give you tons of stuff about Esprimos Q1510 specs and capabilities. ThomasE is also right about editing our comments on one-livingroom blog. I'm complaining that much because I'm still waiting for my package. Sorry :)
Hope it will get to Poland today.
@StefanOsswald:
We prove all the comments before counting them. If there are pictures or comments that are really senseless, we will surely not give points. We also won't give points for any short chatmessages in between the 20 Insiders in the comments. Unfortunately we are not able to count postings on Facebook as there is no guarantee to track all the postings of each Insider 100 %. To be fair we decided not to include Facebook in our point-based system.
AbaS: You can post any article, photo or video (or Links to the article) about the project or the product on this blog. In other words: A comment doesn't have to be compellable part of a project task, as long as it deals with the project or product in general.
@Smejda: Thanks for your productive suggestions. We just decided that we will implement a display that shows you which comment is valid and which is not. I will also try to solve the problem with the links in comments. Keep you informed about the progress.
Aw. Alright!

Any word about the language we use when blogging about the product? I remember seeing something about "english only" but just want to make sure. Naturally when we talk about here we should use english but what about our own blogs etc?
Ponkko: In the Insider map it is written, that we should use English on this blog. ;)
A small insight of the esprimo.

@Ponkko: This is right. You should use English on this blog, but you are allowed to write in your mother tounge on your personal blog. This also gives you points. :-)

So, I am just about to pick up my Esprimo from the post office. It finally got here! Here is my intropost: http://66.no/blogg/basic/robert-tester-mediasenterpc/
Oh, and here is an English version: http://66.no/en/blog-en/basic-en/robert-gets-to-test-the-new-esprimo-q1510/
I think I'm going to multiblog this in both Norwegian and English :D
Good to know how to score. My esprimo arrived late because of delivery problems so I will have to hurry ;)
