Well then :) Just reserved friday night and now I'm waiting for the postman :P
Awesome, I'm going to be looking for him! No chance to get the tracking numbers for us extra eager participants :p?
Can't wait! This will be fun :)
Are these postmen trained in dealing with vicious cats? I've got one that doesn't like trespassers but LOOOOOVES cardboard boxes and hardware bags. I think he might fight for this one ;)
I can't wait for ESPRIMO Q1510 to have a look for possibilities of it. Hope there will be a lot of fun.
I already started to blog about it:
http://pawelsmejda.com/?p=572
Preparation has begun! Borrowed a camera, got my friend kicking my butt if I try to slip and now I'm collecting ideas for posts :) DHL could be faster damnit... :D
Form description it looks like package dosn't contain testing Blue-Ray Discs. Oh well I will need to find out some :)
Well for German people it's no problem. Shops like Amazon sell some cheap Blu-rays every week. :P
Looking forward to receiving the Q1510, so I can turn my hospital stay into a "One hospitality Living Room", had to buy a new monitor for the testing :O)
I am sooo happy to be one of the 20th:))
Thank you:))

The Esprimo will make sure, that music dont stop ;-) Pictures will follow
First Blogpost on netbuzzr : http://netbuzzr.com/allgemein/ein-paket-ist-angekommen/
Congratulations NETBUZZR for being married tomorrow
I wish you a nice party and a nice marriage of course!
Thanks ;-)
It was the right time for the Esprimo to come, so
I can use it as entertainment system for the party on evening.
The postman brought me the package at 1pm, but i had to work. So it was alone standing on the flor...
5pm: Now I had the time to do an unboxing video. Chaos on the table...
5:30pm: Here is an overview over the content of the package (just the keybord is not on the picture)
Well, here are my first impressions (in German) :)
http://www.mixblog.eu/2010/05/27/esprimo-q1510-erste-eindrucke/
Woohoo - my Esprimo finally arrived :D It was kinda hard, because I wasn't at home when DHL brought this precious little thing to me. Most times they try to deliver wares the other day or ask me to get it at the post office, but not today: I found a message that one of my neighbours was so kind to receive the esprimo.
Of course i immediately tried to get my Q1510, but the good guy wasn't there and so it was when i tried it for a second and a third time. Did i mention, that this guy is living in the 4th floor? =)
So, after this little stairs-workout i finally met him and he gave this package to me.
It is late at night now, i unboxed the Esprimo and be sure that there will be some pictures for you tomorrow :)
I am waiting for DHL..every Minute i look from my Windows..running in circles..tap with my Fingers on the Table...
10 Oclock Postman bring my a Letter ( Parcel) sing loud *lalalalalalala*
zauberlinchen - you're not alone :)
In a meantime check out this cool commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2cOEZp6L7Q
Well... maybe not the coolest on the net, but nice render. Can't wait to get my hands on this one :)
StefanOsswald - What is on all of these DVD's? I see 6 of them! Fujitsu gave you their backup files for the last 2 years or what? ;)
What's on them?
So here comes my unboxing Video #1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCyjwLV2qA0
So, finally our Esprimo arrived too. The postman rang the bell, ever so excited we opened the door and then he handed that nice package to us.
The Life of Little E – Prologue
The Life of Little E has just begun. A lady heron is on its way to a far away country of polar bears and penguins, called Finland. She is carrying a tiny package in her firm but gentle grip. Little E is going to try his wings in a big world where every fella has to fight for his very own place in people’s hearts.
In the first episode, Little E will face his worst nightmare: Chrome Lord... What happens next? Stay in touch!
(The package has not arrived yet)
It wasn't only me who was excited about the Esprimo's arrival. Dani also was obviously happy to finally get it. Plus, the carton - which must be kept, now also has a purpose.
@Szymon: Here is the content of CDs:
- Intel Prerelease Videodriver 32/64bit, May 2010
- Mouse driver (for the Notebook Mouse WI600)
- Drivers, Manuals & Utilities
- Recovery DVD (Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit)
- nero (burning software)
- Cyberlink Power DVD
And there is another DVD in the package with the Fujitsu value4you premium suite 2009. It contains:
- Corel Home Office
- CorelDRAW Essentials 4
- Serif PhotoPlus X2
- Nuance ScanSoft PDF Create 5
So, we opened the package! Everything seems to be well and safely packed. Plus, we just learned that all material used for the packaging is completely recycable. Thus, it's not posh and fancy, yet eco-friendly. It's up to you, what you prefer.
After digging in the package you'll find those two boxes. One contains the Esprimo device and the other one the wireless keyboard.
Then, when unpacking the Esprimo, I was really surprised. The device is very small. For better comparison I put it next to a pack of cigarettes.
I think the sizing and design is well done. Whether you want the device to disappear in your lowboard or present it in your living room without taking too much space: it will work both ways.
As is right and proper for a living room device, the Esprimo Q1510 is controlable completely without any wires. As you can see, a remote control, a wireless keyboard (and a mouse, which is missing in the picture) - is all you need to happy home entertainment - digital that is.
Argh - shame on me ;) I still owe you some unboxing pics of my new living-room-superstar ;)
Here is the first one - i was surprised, how big the package can be for a device that is so small ;)
After opening i first read the letter to the competitors - it was kind of special, because being chosen is a little bit like the "grats, you are in the recall"-feeling, belonging to the 20 people who got this package :)
maybe i didn't care that much before becoming chosen, but i was really surprised how much stuff comes along with this little esprimo :)
um, did i mention the loads of cds and dvds? ;)
i remember that i first couldn't start to install the esprimo, because i couldn't stop staring at it ;)
kinda creative, isn't it? :D
Finally I can share with unpacking pictures :) Yesterday postman delivered package to Poland. So happy to have it here.
My ESPRIMO Q1510 looks really nice. It is handy device :)
I'm excited about remote control. Did not have opportunity to test PC + RC so can't wait for first expressions.
Tomorrow I will start install whole software and share more details about unpacking on my blog: www.pawelsmejda.com
Blog post seperated because of the point system, so here is the second link again:

Wow, I finally got the Esprimo, here are my unpacking pics! Such a big box for such a small computer!
Smart packaging to keep the Esprimo safe, and with the handle it's easy to get it out of the box.
One thing that annoyed me was the protective plastic on the Esprimo, this was really annoying to get of as it was split in so many small pieces. Got it of after a while though...
And after you remove the plastic you can use the provided cloth to remove all your dirty fingermarks. Nice touch!
One thing that annoys me is that the Esprimo did not ship with a HDMI cable. Actually it did not ship with any types of monitor/tv cable. I have some laying around but your normal computer buyer would find it annoying having to run back to the store to get the cable he needs...
The provided DVI -> VGA adapter does not help much without any cables...
I really liked the wireless mouse with the inbuilt receiver. (Receiver seen sticking out in this picture). It feels like this wireless mouse was made for laptop computers and on-the-go use, rather than something to keep in your living room, but either way, neat feature :D
Bringing on the remote, nothing special here. It has a big windows logo in the center. I guess it's the media center launch button, but if you use another operating system it looks kind of wrong with a windows logo...
Ok, now the CD/driver pack. Is it really necessary to ship the Esprimo with all these CD's? Normal people grab software and drivers online. Maybe we could save some trees and make less carbon output by skipping these?
Everything together, looks kind of neat huh? Also notice the USB extension cable, I guess this is to use for one of the USB receivers? Which USB receiver is the IR receiver again?
And how is this related to ESPRIMO Q1510?
I used the actual cardboard that the ESPRIMO was delivered to me to create this template for my new arcade controller/machine. "Using what you have" is a green way to think. :)
Also, the Esprimo could be the machine that will be running all the games that I plan to play with this controller once its finished.
In the beginning I was not sure if I should try the miniPC Esprimo Q1510 from FSC. But then I thought:" Give it a try" an I applied as tester. I was very happy to get an e-mail a few days later. Guess what? See below/above ;)
