I am so happy that the WM is beginning today. Most matches i will watch at home in High Definition. A new 50" 3D TV is ordered and will arrive next week. The matches of the german team i will follow via public viewing with friends in a restaurant in our town, were we all meet and watch it on a huge screen.
We will drink some beer, eat something and have just a good time beeing together and cheer for the german team. After the match i hope we will celebrate the victory of our team and sing and lough the whole night.
Personally I’m not the biggest fan of football, but if I end up getting dragged along to watch it’s usually in a bar where everyone is super excited about the game. At least you can enjoy an overpriced beer while everyone starts yelling at the screen! Also if you are planning to watch it at home, and only have a cable service and not tv-on-deamand it’s going to be a bit difficult getting the Esprimo to pick up tv-signals without a tv card as discussed earlier. Regarding the skin in the picture, will it be available for sale, and is there an official store where it is possible to buy skins for my little “Q” ?
Do you know ZATTOO?
http://zattoo.com/
This is a very good way to watch tv in the internet by streaming-client within your browser. I prefer this way while watching with the Esprimp Q1510. This allows me to surf in a second window.
Normally I prefer watching the FIFA Worlccup in normal television.
Test Zattoo by yourself!
@Netbuzzr - wow, 50" is quite amazing. I just got my new one with "just" 42" - but it fits pretty well in my living-room :)
I was looking forward to this world cup for so long - 4 years long, to be more precise :D
In my hometown Dortmund they found a great location called "Friedensplatz" to celebrate the games with thousands of fans :)This year is a little different, because we don't have all the soccer-tourists in our land, but nevertheless we will rock the world cup :D
For me it will be a mixture of public viewing and watching it at home with friends. But there are more locations this time: Just tomorrow i will spend my time at a festival. I am not quite sure if there is a chance to watch the games, but believe me - i will find a solution ;)
And one day we are watching at a friend of mine - time to show the wide world to my little esprimo ;)
Well, I have different opportunities. :)
In my livingroom I have a 52" LCD-TV with HDTV via SAT. :)
In my sleeping room I have a 22" LCD with HDTV via IPTV. :P
But my favorite is public viewing!
I like it to be with people and have fun with them. The atmosphere is very nice and everybody is happy (or sad :P). The weather is nice and you can show your feelings for the national team.
The emotions are very nice and you can "share the moment". That's just cool and fantastic!
This is the TV i've ordered and which will arive at my "one livingroom" at the beginning of next week. I will make some Fotos of it. I have a 42" Samsung now, but only HD Ready. So I decided thats the best time to get a new one.
I use this TV (Sony 40" V5500 FullHD) to watch most of the matches. But tonight I'm going to visit my friends place and we'll watch Uruguay vs France with few friends and have same good time :)
Well then you should know that product photos are also protected by copyright netbuzzr ;).
Watching the match 0-0 so far :D
So this was the first day of the WM 2010.
Two interesting games have been seen. Unfurtunally without winners, because one ends 1-1 (South Africa against Mexico) and the other end 0-0 (Urugay against France)
I loved to watch both games with my esprimo. Finally i feel the WM Fever. The weather was hot and beer was cold. As it has to be ;-)
Can't wait until Germany has it's first match against australia. And the best of all. Our boss decided, that we can watch the next game against Serbia on Friday at 13.30 in our office. Wohoo such a boss, everybody wants to have.
Lets have a good time with football and our esprimos ;-)
I watched the Games via Livestream on my Esprimo. Here you can see people celebrating the WM
Here you can see the first goal of the WM 2010 in South Africa. The player who shot the first goal was Tshabalala (what a name ;-)) from south africa.
The South African players celebrating their first goal
But then Raphael Marques shot a goal to 1-1
Second game between Urugay and France ends 0-0 but was a nice match too.
And as the rest of you I am watching the detailed match review from netbuzzr directly on my little "Q" Nice tv!
I haven't seen it because my brother visited me and we had a Battlefield: Bad Company 2 all night marathon.
Sorry football. You lost ;)
Video games VS sport
1:0
;)
I'm not football biggest fan but when World Cup comes I'm watching most matches. Unfortunately Poland did not qualify so I support Brazil and Spain :) I love they art of play. It is pure pleasure.
Generally watching South Africa World Cup 2010 on my normal TV but I also like to go to pub with my friends, drink some beer and enjoy game.
I also like to betting to have bigger emotions while watching the game, then it is more exciting.
Here Esprimo with TV card would be very useful, I can't watch those early matches, would be happy with possibility to record them.
In the Ofice I watch the World Cup via Zattoo and @home I watch only movies :-)
Im not a big fan of football.
@RobertGrinde: The skin is not offically for sale, but you can design your own skin-design here: http://www.123skins.de/
They do deliever the skin all over Europe.

The only thing is that this page is in german, but maybe you'll find some help with the other One Living Room Insiders. :-)
@Verena Ahh, thanks. I'll wait for the store to be translated into English first ;-)
Today I'm watching The World Cup at my school, Proacademy, Tampere. We set up the public TV so that we can watch the game between The Netherlands and Denmark. I have a football guru sitting next to me who makes reports for a local newspaper so I think I'll get a good amount of analyzing during the game :)
There's some other miniPC connected to the TV so I think this kind of semi-public TV's would be one target group for Esprimo Q1510 also.
It's time for national anthems and kick-off!
BTW I've prepared a video presentation of the Windows Media Center running on Fujitsu Esprimo Q1510.
You can watch it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY0YtfyYWqw
Remote control isn't perfect for everything, some options are mysteriously unavailable, but at the and of the day I must say that it's quite good piece of hardware if you're looking for multimedia streamer with additional options.
I'm also writing a multimedia test of the Q1510. I've testes it's speed and Blu-ray playback quality head to head with LG BD370 Blu-ray player.
You'll find high resolution photos tomorrow on http://hdtvmania.pl/
And the second one.
High resolution photos and test tomorrow on http://hdtvmania.pl/

no public viewing for me yesterday, because i arrived to late to my hometown (after an awesome festival ;) )
So there was the opportunity to check out world-cup-feeling at home via the esprimo.
as you can see in the picture even the zdf-live-stream was quite okay. but to be honest, i actually prefer classical way. at least until i will sponsor a tv-stick to my little esprimo ;)
By the way: GERMANY ftw!! :D
So, no football fans here. For some reason my whole family is not that interested about football. We all were part of a football club when we were kids and enjoyed to play the game but for no it has lost its interest. I believe one reason must be Finland's poor success in football in past years.
Hockey is totally different thing. We haven't played it as kids so perhaps it is only natural that we love to watch it via TV. :) For us finns the hockey has been more or less a national sport (who cares about finnish baseball (pesäpallo)) and thus we are keen followers of any such event. It was too bad that we didn't win a medal in the world championships but there is always a next year.
Btw. is it customary to be bitter rivals with your nabouring country? I mean Finland ans Sweden competes in almost every sport. Is this the same with other countries in EU?
I dont like football so much as all of you ;)
But here is a new Report from me ;)
I love my bad English*lol*
Now i want to tell you about my first weekend while the WM.
Most games i watched on my TV via Esprimo.
Here are some impressions.
This is Ghana making its Goal to 1-0 victory against Serbia via 11m.
The funniest Situation at weekend was the Faux Pas of the english keeper in the match against the usa. Looks not really happy ;-)
Steven Gerrard from the english team looks not happy too, because he knows, that this was not a good match.
Lionel Messi is my favorite player outside of the german team and i bet, that he will become the top scorer of this exhibition.
Of course i saw the german match against australia in company of my friends and others at public viewing. That was really fun, because i saw a very good game of the german team.
Sorry now the Url for my Blog: http://zauberlinchen.over-blog.de/article-usb-steckplatze-52250061.html
After the match we were all celebrating the great victory. There was a really good party. And all were joking : "Down under is going under ;-)"
As we talked about Lena with her Song "Satellite" you should look at this :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdbTEwRJQlY
Uwu Lena covered it to "Schland o Schland"
I love it!!!
And here it is.

Can Fujitsu Esprimo Q1510 be the heart of your home entertainment system?

woohoo - lucky me. my boss was going around today, asking every single person about friday. friday at 13.30 h germany is about to play against serbia and of course most of us like to see the game.
For me it takes about an hour to get home so i have to leave work about 12 o'clock.
and my boss asked every one of us if we want to take off or if we want to leave earlier so we can see the game :D
now this means to me that i will arrive home in time to take a shower, put on the germany-shirt and the other black-red-golden-stuff and then run over to the "friedensplatz" which fortunately is just a few minutes to walk from my flat :)
germany, i am about to come :D
For now I watch most games. Today we will close first round. I don’t have good feeling about opening games - not much goals. But here it comes the second round there will be no mercy for players so I count on good game.
For now only Germany team confirm expectations as team which can take the cup. I hope that Brazil is just warming up, Italy seems not so powerful as cup defenders should be, Portugal and USA looks a little bit weak same as England, Netherlands not impressing right now, Ghana had a luck, Spain is playing today.
Can’t wait for second round.
Every time World Cup begins fans watching their favorite players and counting on them. But sometimes top players disappointing, usually they tired after Champions League. On South Africa 2010 we have a lot of stars: Ronaldo (Portugal), Kaka (Brazil), Messi (Argentina), Drogba (Côte d'Ivoire), Torres (Spain).
First matches show that stars have problem to lead they teams, maybe because it is beginning of the tournament or they are tired after season. I think that all mentioned for now representing middle level of their possibilities. Let’s have hope that second round will bring us exciting moments with top players and a lot of goals.
We discussed a lot about TV card so I decided to borrow one form my friend and test it. I connected small USB device to Esprimo at the back socket. As you can see on picture device is very small.
There was no problem with Windows Media Center set up this TV card. Unfortunately I plugged Air Antenna so signal was very weak, but I still would like to see TV card in Esprimo.
There was no problem with Windows Media Center set up this TV card. Unforunately I plugged Air Antena so signal was very weak, but I still would like to see TV card in Esprimo.
Here is picture of result setting TV card with air antena, not good, the signal is too weak. I was watching Spain - Switzerland game.
I decided I decided to test one of my favorite game: FIFA 10 on Esprimo Q1510. The result confirms that device needs stronger card if it want to be treated like game platform. Fifa don’t have high hardware requirements but I had small lag in 1280 x 1020 resolution. I will also test it with different graphic card drivers and inform you about results.
I have Logitech Dual Action pad which is perfect for FIFA game. There was no problem to connect it with Esprimo Q1510, from my point of view if device would have stronger graphic card it would be perfect for games.
Currently I'm playing all the sports game using my Playstation 3 but if there was a sufficient graphics card inside Esprimo Q1510 I could imagine some people changing their minds and not choosing the gaming console over a living room PC.
Many of my friends use PS3 only for sports games like FIFA and NHL. And as PS3 costs more than 300 euros, that may be a hollow reason to buy one for only few games.
Living room is after all, a classic place to play games with your friends!
I watched it in my favourite bar, called "Niederlassung" in Munich. Here we wait for the beginning.
and watched the coverage before the first game for germany.
after the first goal by Podolsky the last one knew - we will win this worldcup.
A suggestion for Fujitsu considering the future generations of Esprimo-series:
1. Gather a group of fanatic sports bloggers
2. Wait till there is an event worth reporting
3. Let them test the device and provide supporting software & partnerships for their use (like a HD-channel package for Internet-TV)
4. Let them all keep the device afterwards (no point war)
5. See how the buzz keeps coming
