The Esprimo Q1510 will be the best birthday-present for my girl friend. She lives abroad and has at the moment no computer or laptop and so I can have more contact with her via the internet (mail, skype,...).
When I visit her, we can make an romantic evening by listening to music during a candle-light dinner or watch some romantic video.

I have already written what I like best at the miniPC Esprimo Q1510 and which feature is still missing.
The (in my opinion) only missing thing at the moment is the TV card.
Maybe I will miss another one in the future. For example a beamer included like this one:
    http://www.misco.at/productinformation/~153142~WW~/Aiptek%20PocketCinema%20T20%20-%20Mini-Beamer.htm

All my pros and cons about the TV card are written here:
    http://www.one-livingroom.com/Does-the-ESPRIMO-need-a-TVcard-18

My favorite features are explained here, but not everyone:
    http://www.one-livingroom.com/What-is-your-favorite-feature-of-the-Esprimo-Q1510-41

One of the best features I have forgotten:
    The eSATA port!

I have an external HDD and now I can use this one without an eSATA to USB adapter. That's very nice, because it is much faster now.

Lately my packages arrived last week because of delivering problems. So till now I am not the most active one living room insider ;)
But maybe it is possible to be one out of ten within the next days.
Has any one of you tried to install windows xp or linux (e.g. ubuntu) on this small little hardware-devil? Is it possible? Is the hardware with its drivers compatible to those two operating system? I am very interested in trying it out, so please stay tuned. Hopefully I will have enough time before I may have to send it back.
If windows xp or ubuntu linux works or not, you can read it (in german) on my Esprimo blog:

In my opinion a TV-card for the Esprimo Q1510 would be e very "nice to have" feature. It can be included, but an USB TV card would be enough. The Esprimo has 6 USB-ports, so why not user one of them? I don't have that much external harddisc drives to plug them all in ;)
After using the USB ports for the remote control adapter of the media center, mouse and keyboard there are more then enough USB ports left for some extra features like the TV-card. Because of the HDMI port the Esprimo fits better to any TV than any DVD-drive or video-DVD-recorder mix with a HDD.

Hmmm, there is not only one feature, there are more. Where to start...
The first thing was the size and the shape. The esprimo Q1510 is not much bigger than a DVD drive (but smaller than the Wii ;)), but much more powerful.
Second I liked the included W-LAN and the wireless keyboard and mouse. No more disturbing cable on the table and around the PC. Next step could be wireless audio.
Only one thing could be better: the graphiccard. Then the esprimo would be the best partner for hardcore gamers, because you can take this miniPC very easily to every LAN-Party. And you would be the geek-king with the smallest hardware ;)

I like going to the cinema and i like to watching TV. But I hate all the commercials around ONE movie. Before movies in cinemas you sometimes have to see ads up to 15 minutes. Nearly 1/4 of the time is wasted to commercials on TV, although we have to pay for GEZ/GIS.
So I started to watch VOD (Videos On Demand) via streams or use torrent for legal movies. That's great, because now I can watch movies when I want to, can make breaks when I want to, can watch the movie 20 times if I like to.
In my opinion this may be the future of television.

When the esprimo arrived I was surprised about the size of the package. I thought that a miniPC is small ;)
But then I opened the box an found lot of empty space and safety bags to protect this little wonder of technique. Lots og hardware in one small case, Blu-Ray, 500GB HDD, 4GB RAM, 6 x USB, Blue-Tooth, W-LAN,...
At first I plugged in all the necessary things like monitor, keyboard, mouse. The first boot took a little longer because of the Win7 setup. I didn't know that there is W-LAN onbaord until Win7 wanted to connect ;)
So I was "in love" since the first boot!
    What will be next?

I had no possibility to watch the song contest on my esprimo. :(
So I had to watch "normal" TV ;)
We all know who the winner was: Lena from germany. But who knows the supporter? It was Stefan Raab!

In the beginning I was not sure if I should try the miniPC Esprimo Q1510 from FSC. But then I thought:" Give it a try" an I applied as tester. I was very happy to get an e-mail a few days later. Guess what? See below/above ;)
