If Fujitsu's employees are always as proactive and friendly as in this example of twitter outreach I must say: great job!

I presented the Esprimo to appstory.tv founder and Designer Kira Song and asked her to comment on the device. The result can be found here:

As is right and proper for a living room device, the Esprimo Q1510 is controlable completely without any wires. As you can see, a remote control, a wireless keyboard (and a mouse, which is missing in the picture) - is all you need to happy home entertainment - digital that is.

Then, when unpacking the Esprimo, I was really surprised. The device is very small. For better comparison I put it next to a pack of cigarettes.

I think the sizing and design is well done. Whether you want the device to disappear in your lowboard or present it in your living room without taking too much space: it will work both ways.

After digging in the package you'll find those two boxes. One contains the Esprimo device and the other one the wireless keyboard.

So, we opened the package! Everything seems to be well and safely packed. Plus, we just learned that all material used for the packaging is completely recycable. Thus, it's not posh and fancy, yet eco-friendly. It's up to you, what you prefer.

It wasn't only me who was excited about the Esprimo's arrival. Dani also was obviously happy to finally get it. Plus, the carton - which must be kept, now also has a purpose.

So, finally our Esprimo arrived too. The postman rang the bell, ever so excited we opened the door and then he handed that nice package to us.

Since Google already forecasted last years winner correctly, I will stick to their prognosis this year as well. Guess whom they grant the victory? Yeah, right, it's miss "Germany 12 points" Lena. Check it out for yourself here:

Oh, just realized that I should probably stick to English here, so feel free to delete my former comment. (Btw, beeing able to edit one's comments would be nice :))

Anyway, this is where the ESPRIMO is going to spend the next couple of weeks. Old meets new, basically. What you can see on the picture a old issues of "The Times" - some of them as old as 1880 - put together in lether binding.

Und hier wird es stehen, das kleine Schmuckstück. Alt trifft neu, wenn man so will. Denn was ihr dort seht, sind alte Ausgaben von "The Times", die zum Teil soweit zurückdatieren wie 1880, in Ledereinbänden zusammengefasst.

Hopefully the package will arrive today! I'm really looking forward to the unpacking and consecutive testing. Watching the ESC on our beamer via the Esprimo is going to be exciting. We already invited some friends to our place so we can showcase our new little friend. Expect to hear what they'll say also afterwards!
