Wow, this question is not really easy to be answered, because there is not only one feature, that can be highlighted, because its the whole package, that makes the esprimo so useful.
But if i have to point on feature out, then it is the small compact dimension combined with the power of a i3 and the huge storage of 500MB HDD. That's really awesome and is astauning me every day.
Working with windows on a big TV Screen in Full HD is so amazing and suddenly even working is fun with the esprimo.
Watching movies and listening to good music are features, that makes the esprimo even more worthful. I love it really much.

Yesterday my brand new 50" TV from Samsung with 3D support arrived. Woohoo now my One living room is perfect. I think the esprimo looks now even smaller then before ;-)

So this was the first day of the WM 2010.
Two interesting games have been seen. Unfurtunally without winners, because one ends 1-1 (South Africa against Mexico) and the other end 0-0 (Urugay against France)
I loved to watch both games with my esprimo. Finally i feel the WM Fever. The weather was hot and beer was cold. As it has to be ;-)
Can't wait until Germany has it's first match against australia. And the best of all. Our boss decided, that we can watch the next game against Serbia on Friday at 13.30 in our office. Wohoo such a boss, everybody wants to have.

This is the TV i've ordered and which will arive at my "one livingroom" at the beginning of next week. I will make some Fotos of it. I have a 42" Samsung now, but only HD Ready. So I decided thats the best time to get a new one.

I am so happy that the WM is beginning today. Most matches i will watch at home in High Definition. A new 50" 3D TV is ordered and will arrive next week. The matches of the german team i will follow via public viewing with friends in a restaurant in our town, were we all meet and watch it on a huge screen.
We will drink some beer, eat something and have just a good time beeing together and cheer for the german team. After the match i hope we will celebrate the victory of our team and sing and lough the whole night.

As i vote in this poll, maybe like most others here, i use to watch shows "normal" on tv. Sometimes i watch my favorite TV Show Lost in English from ABC.
Movies on demand is not so often, but when then i buy them via Sky Select. When i am not at home during a good movie i record it to my 1.5 TB HDD Recorder, to watch it later.
With the Esprimo now i have another alternative. So i often watch shows via Livestream or just watch something from Youtube in HD. Its really exciting how much possibilities there are to getting entertained. With the Esprimo they grown another time.

Wow, that is really awesome.
I think this is the best response to a developer, if the product get so much positive feedback. But i can't understand the negative points. The Esprimo is noisy? Ok, if you are trying to let him calculate pi, then it could get louder, but not that much to call it noisy ...
The problem of upscaling is imho not a problem of the Esprimo then of the TV you use it with. I have got the same problem, so i choose to buy a new TV with Full HD Support to give the right environment to my little esprimo.
Ok, high price is a point i would agree. But hey, you get a mini PC of high quality and that attributes. If the price is to high for somebody, he should better buy a cheaper product of lower quality.

In our office we have Esprimo-like Mini PCs with Intel Atom processor inside. And guess, they are that slow. You can get and drink coffee while its booting and registering. Before we got other performent models we had to work with them for a while. It is nearly impossible to do complex work with Intel Atom processor based PCs, like Programming, Processing and Rendering. So i am with you. The choice for the i3 was right. It has 2 cores (4 threads) which are very performant but energy saving too. I never believed before, that this is possible.
While i was benchmarking the Esprimo i often was amazed of its performance. It's even better then my Vaio notebook i am doing my daily work with.

@Szymon: I am using a Samsung 42" TV. The Problem i think, is that it does not support FULL HD, even it is HD Ready with an solution of 1024 x 756 Pixel. I tried to switch the solution on the Esprimo, but the Window didn't seem to fit in the TV. On my blog there was somebody answering who had the same problem. It should be a problem with my TV, not with the Esprimo. But as you mentioned, i didn't try to use another Resolution on my TV. Maybe switch to 720p could solve the problem because now i am on 1024i. Hmm i have to look later when i am home and give a response. If that was the problem, i will give myself a bash on my head ;-)

I don't think that there is a need of an additional remote control for powerpoint, because then you could buy a remote control for every single application.
The solution would be one remote control, which can easily be programmed for the use with all application. The one which was in the package is even a good one, but is it compatible with other applications?
The idea of an one for all control should be reconsidered, because it would make the use of the Esprimo still more comfortable as it is now. If it would be connected via one Bluetooth chip inside the Esprimo, everything would be perfect in reference to controlling the Esprimo from the couch.

@RobertGrinde : I had that problem to. My USB Sticks are a little bit bigger than normally and so i had the problem to push them all together in the Esprimo. But fortunately there are 6 ports on the Esprimo, so there should be even one free port anywhere ;-)
But i have this problem on my vaio notebook too. The USB ports there, are even too close together so that i have problem to put 2 usb sticks together in the device. Maybe a bigger clearance between the usb ports would be suggestive. I didn't realize the extension cable...
Waiting at the first start is a little bit annoying, because the progressbar didn't seem to move forward. Maybe some pictures showing the options of the Esprimo would be nice and not so boring ;-)

Yes, the ability to split the giant harddisk into more partition was a thing that makes me glad to, because i use to split my harddisk on every device i have. So there is on partition for the operating system and drivers etc. Then i have on partition for programes. In the past i used to make one partition for games too, but now i play only on Xbox and playstation.
Then i make one partition for movies and pictures and one partition at least for all other stuff, that does not fit anywhere else.
Normally you have to split the harddisc during the install of the operating system. The chance to split it afterwards is really cool.

Today i had another great idea, what is missing on the Esprimo. Hope it's not late for further ideas. What about a LCD-Panel on the front of the Esprimo, where you can control media functions of the Esprimo (play, stop, fast forward etc.)? I think this would look very cool and would be very practically.

I am glad, that our sometimes futuristic ideas are taken seriously. Some of them were really funny.
There are good arguments against a portable version of the esprimo : just buy a laptop! Yes that's true;-) But suddenly there were so much ideas in my brain and i wrote them down before thinking about them a minute.
But the idea with controlling the media center with an universal remote control like the Xsight Touch or Logitech Harmony is a nice one.
I have the problems with the screen, that does not fit in my TV, but i haven't try to install the driver until now. Thanks for this advice, i will try it out tomorrow.

The design concept is easy to understand . Even if somebody wants a stylish PC with lightning etc. Fujitsu has to keep their corporate identity. That is understandable, and i like the design of the esprimo very much.
What I mean with the loudness of the fam, that if you do some cpu-expensive work it sometimes get a little bit louder. (only a little bit;-)) So i thought a water cooling would be a nice solution. Were there long period tests with the fam under full load. How did they look like. I know such tests from my last work and they are very interesting.

Yes i had the problem with the BluRay device too for one time. As I wrote here : http://netbuzzr.com/unterhaltung/esprimo-test-multimedia/
the BluRay device is reacting some kind of mechanically. So you have to pull the BluRay with more power into it. First i had fear to f... the BluRay up, but then i realize that the BluRay device is that way and then i got attuned to it.
But this is a suggestion of improvement to, because user could get confused of it, because they expect another reaction.
I was trying a game which i borrow from the videothek, but the Esprimo didn't want it to play. It was a normal DVD. Maybe the Esprimos BluRay device has problems with some kinds of DVDs?

When i think of listening music with the music, i directly think of my wife who gets angry if i turn the music too loud. Then i use to take my headphones to listen as loud as i want. So imho for people who don't have usb headphones a port on the frontside would be very nice.

But how would you decide which Social Networks to include? I know people who all use another network. Many are at StudiVZ or MeinVZ, some are at Facebook and one is at Jappy. Twitter is something, which is only known by "freaks" like us. My wife and most of my friends don't even know, what Twitter is. So I think its a very hard decission. Maybe during the install process, the user has to choose which networks should be supported. That would be a cool solution, which would work.

@ABAS: I think preinstalling of Social Media Apps would be too much for the normal user, that doesn’t know anything about Facebook, Twitter and co. The ones who know are able to install it on their own. You could install a lot of software which is potentially interesting to the user, but then you had an overblown system which would be not slim and performant. So Fujitsu had to find a way compromise. And I think they does.
I also think there are existing solutions for phones that can be connected on the pc. There are Phones for Skype and other VoIP solutions, so that should be no problem. But in my opinion Fujitsu does well in putting not too much Tools in the package. That would make the Esprimo more expensive.

What about a bundle with the Esprimo in it and a abonement with for example Maxdome? So that user can directly load some movies and the price for the package would be much lower. I think this could be an interesting combination.

Were the developer of the Esprimo ever be afraid that there is not enough space and air in the Esprimo for so much power? I can imagine that i was not easy to balance what is most important. Put more grafic power into it or choosing a better cpu. I think there was often a brainstorming where everybody says whats important for him to be inside the Esprimo.
How many prototypes of the now available Esprimo were refused because there was anything wrong with it?

I think Atom CPUs are not powerful enough and only to be used for surfing in the net. We have Atom PCs in the office and they are very slow. I think it was a good choice to take the 3i. But what about the 5i or the 7i?

I love it because you can control everything with it because there is an IR-Receiver on the bottom where you can record the frequency of the original remote. So you can use it for all your devices in your livingroom.

@ABAS : Yes you are right. I know, that the Esprimo is not the right choice for hardcore gamer, because the only thing that counts, is having fun watching movies in HD and listen to your music collection.
But maybe we get answered, if there was the idea by the creators to put more graphic power into the esprimo for gamers.
I think it should be clearly, that there is not enough space and air for a real powerful graphic card. I know guys with a graphic card that is bigger than a netbook ;-) (like your photo)
It is probably the best if the creators concentrate on bringing best media entertainment in our livingroom with this small device. And i think, they did ...

First of all i think all Insider agree, that the esprimo is a little allround wonder. Because there is so much technic in such a tiny device.
But however i have some improvement suggestions.
- Maybe a BluRay Burner could be useful, so that one can easily burn his favorite movies directly to disc
-Like we all were discussing about, a TV card would be a very good improvement for the esprimo
-I can imagine, that some gamer would like to buy an esprimo, if it had a more powerful grafic chip.
Otherwise i'm very happy with this little PC, because it has so much features.
@ABAS : I think the wireless keyboard and mouse are additional features for us insiders and which are not included in the basic backage

I think the most important is the idea behind it. And I think that my pictures are well done and show possible areas of application for the Esprimo. I really think about implementing the Esprimo in my car by driving to office and thats why I created the picture. Not in 3 minutes, but in 5. But thats not important. There is a message behind the pictures and i wanted to show it.

I have known before, that it will end like that. "be creativ, to share our point of view and probably we can share some individual screenshots" YES, thats what i think too. Its easy to take thousends of simple Fotos with the Esprimo. Maybe i capture all Websites i have visited with the Esprimo.

Thats a question that can easily be answered. My Livingroom is perfect because i can have the best time in it.
If i want i can relax listening good electronic music or just watch a great movie.
If friends are inviting me, we can have much fun playing Fifa Soccer or Shooter on my Playstation 3 or XBox 360. It is never boring, because there are enough games, that want to be played.
On weekend i love to watch football in HD with my Sky HD Receiver.
And now the best of all. The Esprimo offer me everything i could imagine. Every day i discover new features of the Esprimo.
I think that are some good arguments, why my livingroom should be perfect ;-)

Yes i think its an issue of space in the Esprimo. Fujitsu could bring a lot of more features in it, but the the device would be much bigger and first and foremost the Esprimo would consume more energy, would get louder and slower.
Its an vicious circle i think, but i also think, that they will make up their minds, because of the reactions on many plattforms, regarding to that "problem".
I have heard many people saying, that they are interested in an entertainment PC like the Esprimo. But only, if it has a TV card or another opportunity to record movies in HD.
I'm curious about if Fujitsu will take this proposal seriously and maybe they integrate a TV card into further generations of the Esprimo.

@Ponkko : Dont forget, that the Esprimo is not only a PC. Its an entertainment system, thats intend to play high definition media.
Thats why the main focus lies on media. Normal PC are mostly used for working on documents, programming or cut videos. With the Esprimo things are different. As i said before, it is basically used for playing all kind of media, so it would be very nice, if there would be the opportunity to record own media.
I also dont think, that the Esprimo would try to do everything if a TV card would be in it, or am i wrong?

Of Course i watched the Eurovision Song Contest with the Esprimo, and i loved it.
I think the competitors were not really good. Most performances were (Sorry) boring. Only Turkey and the Men/Women were entertaining well.
So for me, Lena is the deserved Winner of the ESC 2010. And i hope, like Stefan Raab mentioned, that Lena will represent Germany at the ESC 2011 in our Country ;-)

I am so amazed how quiet the Esprimo is. So i tried to exhaust the Esprimo by letting it calculate the factorial of 100k (100.000!). After only some seconds the test was over with an overflow, like i expected. Only 3 cores where used with ~25% usage. Amazing!!!
The ventilator wasn´t getting faster or louder. Not even after hours of using the Esprimo.
On my Centrino Duo Notebook the test took about 2 minutes and the ventilator rotates faster an blowed out hot air. One Point for the Esprimo!

Got the Package today. I was very excited, just like opening a package on Xmas. I dont thought that it would be that tall ;-) Than I was surprised, because of the additional wireless mouse and keyboard. So now i can start testing it. Tomorrow i marry my wife with a big party. The Esprimo will make sure, that music dont stop ;-) Pictures will follow

As a german, naturally I hope that our candidate is going to win this contest. And i am hopefull, because Lena with "Satellite" is a real cool song, which has the potential to win this contest. But a ranking under the first 5 would be very good too. (Picture via wikipedia)

I was waiting every day for the Esprimo and today, the man from DHL brings it to me. Package was bigger than expected. I made a video from opening the Package, which i will upload soon.
